ZWAI at COP29: Civil Society Equity Review

As two of our representatives attend COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, we are proud to stand alongside ngos, climate advocates, and civil society organisations in the fight for climate justice. We are happy to announce our participation in the launch of the 2024 Civil Society Equity Review.

This landmark report highlights the urgent need for developed nations to meet their fair share of climate commitments, taking into account the principles of equity and common but differentiated responsibilities. It provides a powerful roadmap for achieving climate justice by balancing ambitious emissions reductions with enhanced support for vulnerable countries.

By signing the report, we affirm our commitment to advancing these principles in our work and advocating for a just transition that leaves no one behind. COP29 serves as a critical platform for amplifying these discussions, and we are grateful to Jack Coffey and Craig Tobion-Dower to attend on our behalf, collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure equity remains at the heart of global climate policy.
